Plantation (mostly)

There are twin lakes right down the road from where I'm staying here in Baton Rouge, and this is the one (the smaller of the two, of course) that I've run around every morning. It is absolutely gorgeous.

The Rosedown Plantation. Most of the plants in the garden, the structures, and the furniture in the house have been preserved for over 150 years.

This pine tree is over 300 years old. And it feels good.

Slave stairs.

"Shower"

3 generations slept in this crib.

Went for a poetry read. After we walked down to the amphitheatre for a more intimate reading.
